Our Statement of Faith
We are Christians alive in the love of God, Jesus Christ, & the Holy Spirit, who seek & serve Christ in all persons loving our neighbors as ourselves.
Our actions & beliefs are guided by Scripture, Tradition, Reason & grounded in the love of God.
Through prayer we seek guidance and clarity from God for the ordering of our common life.
Unified in the Lord Jesus Christ and honoring the traditions of the Episcopal Church we support each other in faith, hope and love.
Our church ordains both women and men, and we value the leadership of priests and deacons bring to our congregational life. We support each other, lay and ordained, through word and deed.
Through pastoral ministries, we bear each others' burdens & joys, forgiving as we have been forgiven & loving others as Christ loves us.
We seek to embody the compassionate love of God in Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit in our worship and personal ministries.
Together, in Christ’s name, we minister to the victims of hunger, fear, injustice, oppression & natural disaster, and to the sick, friendless, destitute & those who suffer in body, mind, or spirit. Grounded in prayer, we are present to one another, and use our God-given gifts, talents & resources for the well-being of humanity in Florence & the Pee Dee region.
