The Rev. Eunice Dunlap joined St. Catherine's as our first full-time vicar in December 2021. She grew up in Chelsea and Greenwich Village in New York City where she studied opera singing and worked in various advertising agencies. Although now divorced after 30 years of marriage, Eunice raised three fine young men, Kagan who is 37, Trevor who is 33, and Stuart who is 29. Eunice finished her B.A. through the State University of New York, her M.Div. through Bangor Theological Seminary, her Anglican Diploma at Virginia Seminary. She completed a certificate in Spiritual Direction at the Pecos Benedictine Monastery in Pecos, New Mexico and has also completed The Living School program in Albuquerque, New Mexico with leaders Richard Rohr, James Finley and Cynthia Bourgeault.
Eunice has worked as a licensed minister in the United Church of Christ through the Maine Seacoast Missionary Society, as Formation Director for both Adults and Children at Christ Episcopal Church in New Bern, was Assistant Rector at St. James Episcopal Church in Hendersonville, North Carolina and finally at All Saints and St. George's Chapel in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware.
Eunice comes to St. Catherine's excited about the potential for Episcopal ministry in the Pee Dee and loves to spending time getting outdoors, painting, studying topics in spirituality and going for walks with her dogs.
